Crossover Mazda CX-5, built based on the concept car Minagi, is the first production of the new incarnation of the design concept of Japanese brand (KODO) and the first car in the range to receive a full range of technologies SkyActiv, including a modular platform and engines. As stated in the official press release, a compact crossover in the European market will offer a 2.0-liter petrol and 2.2 diesel engine, which will be available in two different capacities. Detailed characteristics of these units are not announced, but according to appear before the media, the engine on "heavy oil" will develop 175 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. Power gasoline will make 165 horsepower (210 Nm). It is assumed that the crossover Mazda CX-5 will be available as a four-wheel drive and a version with a drive only the front wheels. Sales of new products in the European market will begin next year. The car will be available in all key markets - the U.S., Europe, Russia and China.
