Premium Electric Car Tesla Model S to appear on the U.S. market in autumn 2012. It will be launched in four versions, one of which will sport (Performance), which stands out against a more powerful engine counterparts. Base models are equipped with lithium-ion batteries, and engines with a capacity of 40, 60 or 85 kWh. All batteries are warranted for eight years.
Depending on the capacity of the battery will last for a distance of 255 to 480 km. The basic version (40 kW) can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles / h in 6.5 seconds and top speed is 177 km / h. Model S battery with 60 kWh accelerates to "weave" in 5.9 seconds and top speed is equal to 200 km / h. Version with 85 kW to 100 km / h is 5.6 seconds, top speed - 210 km / sec. As for the "charged" version of the Performance, its indicators are even more impressive. It accelerates to 100 km / h in just 4.4 seconds while its top speed is 220 km / h.
Base models get new 19-inch alloy wheels, a multimedia system with 17-inch touch screen, mobile communications system Universal Mobile. Sport model has an adaptive air suspension, aerodynamic body kit, special aerodynamic wheels, panoramic roof, leather interior. Prices start at 49,900 dollars.
