In 2009 the band released the sports car Aston Martin V12 Vantage in coupe. The car almost immediately began to enjoy success among customers, but fans of the open sports car had to find a decent alternative to the lineup of competitors. This state of affairs apparently not satisfied with manual Aston Martin and it has ordered the creation of a roadster based on the V12 Vantage. From a recent interview with the head of the British company Ulrich Beza became known that we all wait for news remained a little longer, as the official debut of the new modification will take place at next year's International Motor Show in Geneva, soon after which the car goes on sale.
According to the manufacturer, as the coupe, the roadster will be equipped with double the 6.0-liter gasoline engine V12, which, despite ever tightening environmental regulations, is still afloat, which is not the 6.0-liter W12 engine another British sports coupe - Bentley Continental. The power unit will produce a maximum output of 517 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and peak torque of 570 Newton meters at 5750 rpm. An open version of Aston Martin V12 Vantage will be equipped with manual 6-speed manual transmission, the transmission of torque to the wheels of the rear axle.
From a design standpoint, the car will only differ by a removable roof, which is likely to be tissue. Internal decoration materials, along with the equipment included as standard, should also remain unchanged. Automatic drive system roof and activities to increase the rigidity of the body lead to weight gain, which adversely affect the dynamics of the car. However, expect a serious deterioration of acceleration performance does not mean a hefty roadster can be accelerated from a standstill to 100 km / h in about 4.3 seconds and its top speed will be about 300 km / h.
In an interview with the head of the British carmaker also mentioned about the new successor model of DBS, which is soon to be presented to the public. The new sports car will boast a more impressive dynamics and 600-horsepower 6.0-liter V12, who replaced the former 517-hp version.
