Until now, all information that circulates around the SUV Audi Q6 and Q4 belongs to the category of rumors. However, the chief designer of the German company, Walter de Silva, came upon this information in a formal framework.
In an interview with the head of Volkswagen Design department confirmed that the company has begun work on future competitors BMW X6. However, plans to develop a small crossover and remained only in the mind. The main enemy X6 - Q6 - takes place between a large premium SUV Q7 and "mediocre" Q5.
"We will certainly release a sporty crossover, which only asks to get into the segment between the Q7 and Q5". The new model will be built on a platform of Q7 and will appear in about 2015. As for model Q4, it will take place between the Q5 and Q3, and will compete with BMW X4. Model will appear in 2014. Both cars are meant as a sales boost Audi, especially in the European market, where, so far, in a segment dominated by SUVs BMW.
