Audi S8 Test prototype caught the eye of fotoshpionam somewhere on German roads. It is known that at the time of the test is not only a new suspension, and a power plant - a total program to update the Volkswagen motor park is not spared and the flagship Audi. It is reported that instead of the current ten-5.2-liter engine, developed together with Lamborghini, Audi S8 gets a turbocharged eight-cylinder powerplant. Based on the stated working volume - 4 liter - one can assume that we are talking about the same engine that was announced for the Bentley Continental. Once installed on the British coupe, it will develop 415 horsepower, but for the sports version of the main saloon Audi or forcing it, or will provide double-charging. By estimations of experts, the power of the new Audi engine will be from 450 to 500 horsepower. Earlier it was reported that the same turbo-V8 in Ingolstadt is planning to install and Audi S6. Its premiere is scheduled for the Frankfurt Motor Show, so it is possible that the first public demonstration of Audi S8 postponed to a later date.
