Rumor has it that at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show Ferrari supercar show in the 458 Italia convertible version. German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, with reference to internal sources at Maranello reports that 458 Italia Spider will be offered with an electrically openable top, hiding behind the front row of seats.
Under the hood of a sports car will be installed the same 4.5-liter V8 engine with direct injection technology as the previous model. V8 power is 570 hp at 9000 rev / min. and torque of 540 Nm at 6000 rev / min. All power to the rear axle through a 7-speed transmission, F-1 with double clutch.
The appearance of Spider version is expected in showrooms in 2012.
