Ford SVT prepares "charged" response to competitors
Until recently, manufacturers charged Ford - Company Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT) experienced a decline, but it seems it is getting better. Through its new partnership with the European Ford Team RS, in addition to updating its model lineup, the company will double its line of vehicles. The first joint project will be the Focus ST. But the most anticipated product of SVT is the "answer" Ford's recent new product from General Motors - 556-hp Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. They will be Shelby GT500 with a new engine which, in contrast to the current 5.4-liter turbo will be used a mechanical blower, low pressure (supercharger). Regarding the level of the engine while it is not clear, but perhaps we will see a new Shelby GT500 5.8 liter engine capacity, issuing 650 horsepower.
