At the forty-second account of the exhibition of cars in Tokyo (Tokyo Motor Show 2011) Japanese company Honda discloses a concept plug-in hybrid AC-X, which far exceeds the size of Insight. Its length is 4700 mm, width - 1820 mm, height - 1400 mm and wheelbase - 2750 mm.
Four hybrid uses active components of the aerodynamic body, including front and rear bumpers, side sills and alloy wheels specially designed to maximize a lower coefficient of drag (0.21). AC-X is equipped with a powerplant of the 1.6-liter gasoline engine at 127 hp and electric power 161 hp (120 kW).
Only on electricity at speeds of 100 km / h plug hybrid drives 50 km. In combined mode, it overcomes distance of 1000 km. Fuel consumption is 1 liter (plug-in hybrid) or 2.8 liters per 100 kilometers (hybrid).
