After withdrawing from the production of large saloon 607 in 2009, the company Peugeot has made a new proposal for a business class. The French, however, decided to return to the market in the luxury segment with the Peugeot 708. The car will be made as large HB with elements of the minivan, and its competitors will be serious contenders such as the BMW 5 GT and Audi A7 Sportback.
The French magazine L'Automobile reports that the Peugeot 708 will be based on the platform 508-d model. With regard to technical characteristics, it is expected to use hybrid diesel powertrain. Naturally, given the class focuses on a model that can be expected to use innovative solutions, both in terms of performance and safety, and comfort and the availability of additional options.
