Renault Captur developing a new family car
Renault plans to create a line of crossovers, based on the platform of Nissan and stylized Captur, which made its debut in Geneva.
According to Auto Express, a new family of Renault will start from the car Captur, based on the base Nissan Juke. It is planned to consider a reduced model based on the Qashqai, while most of the cars is based on the base Nissan X-Trail.
Engine size will range from 1.6 to 1.8 liters, and most likely will be offered two versions of the twin turbo Renault, issuing 128 or 152 horsepower. The company promises to use heavy stylistic features of the concept Captur, including a huge logo of Renault on the back of a volume with broad bars.
According to AE, the full range of cars will be ready by 2016, and the first models will go on sale in 2014.
