On passing the international motor show in Frankfurt before the first machine of the revived East German brand Trabant. New developed by Herpa, which is one of the largest manufacturers of scale models of cars, and built in collaboration with the bodywork studio IndiKar. According to representatives of firms, the first copies of the new "Trabant", named nT, will be available in 2012. Overall length of the new items is 3.95 meters, width - 1,69 m, height - 1.5 meters, and the wheelbase is 2.45 meters. Trabant has a five-seat 63-horsepower electric motor and lithium batteries, which provide a vehicle movement over 160 kilometers. From common household electrical outlet with a voltage of 230 volts battery can fully charge in about eight hours, and when using 380-volt outlet that time reduced to two hours. In addition, the roof, "Trabant" installed solar panels that feed the machine on-board electronics. According to developers, new top speed of 130 kilometers per hour. According to preliminary data, prices for new Trabant will begin on the European market of 10 thousand euros. Note that the first prototype of the Trabant nT was first shown in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the form of 1:87 scale model.
